Births in Armenia Increase and Deaths Decrease

According to data released by Armenia’s Statistical Committee, the population in Armenia increased by 742 in January 2023.

3,229 births were recorded in January – a 12.6% and 13.2% growth compared to the same month of 2022 and 2021.

The number of deaths decreased. 2,487 deaths were recorded in January – a 10.8% and 17.5% decrease compared to the same month of 2022 and 2021.

The 742 natural increase indicator is 9.4 times higher than in January 2022.
