Armenia Resolves Key Matters in Acquisition of Russian Weapons
Armenia's Finance Minister, Vahe Hovhannisyan, announced in a press conference that major hurdles related to Armenia's acquisition of Russian weapons have been successfully addressed. While specifics remain undisclosed due to confidential discussions, Hovhannisyan assured that the Ministry of Defense (MoD) received no signals indicating any ongoing problems. The issue arose in November of the previous year when Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed potential solutions for Armenia's outstanding payment of around $400 million to Russia for undelivered weapons. The MoD recently reported the resolution of most contentious matters, with a few outstanding issues yet to be addressed.
