Armenia’s ‘Academic City’ Project Master Plan Unveiled

Armenia has taken yet another step forward in the realization of its ambitious 'Academic City' project, as the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, Zhanna Andreasyan, shared the project's master plan on Facebook today.

The unveiling followed a consultation chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during which Tobias Keyl, Deputy Director of gmp International GmbH Architects and Engineers—the company developing the master plan—presented details of the design and research works.

Keyl emphasized that the main concept will be ready by the second half of the year, signaling the imminent launch of related processes.

The Academic City aims to be a hub of education, research, and innovation, shaping the future landscape of Armenian learning and development.

The meeting attendees, including members of the 'Academic City' Foundation's Board of Trustees, engaged in detailed discussions about engineering infrastructure, the road network, and landscape, providing recommendations for the project's progress. The Prime Minister issued specific instructions to officials, emphasizing the importance of creating a robust infrastructure for the 'Academic City' and addressing related matters.
