Armenian-Arabic Journalist Raffi Boghosian Elected President of Golden Globe Foundation

Armenian-Arabic producer and journalist Raffi Boghosian has been elected president of the Golden Globe Foundation's Board of Directors, taking the top leadership role at the nonprofit organization that funds film education, journalism initiatives and preservation projects around the world.

Boghosian announced his election in a social media post, calling it an honor to lead the foundation.

"I'm honored to share that I have been elected President of the Golden Globe Foundation," he wrote. "I'm grateful for the trust and confidence placed in me, and I look forward to serving the Foundation, supporting its mission, and making a positive impact."

The appointment comes a year after Boghosian joined the foundation's board. As president, he will help oversee the organization's philanthropic efforts, which include grants for nonprofit organizations, educational opportunities for aspiring filmmakers, film restoration programs and financial assistance for journalists.

The Golden Globe Foundation was created after the Hollywood Foreign Press Association dissolved in 2023. The HFPA sold its assets and intellectual property to Dick Clark Productions, which now owns and operates the Golden Globe Awards, while the newly formed foundation continues the organization's charitable work.

Boghosian has spent more than a decade in international media as a producer, journalist and television host. He is the founder of Boghos Entertainment, a Hollywood-based production company that provides production services for broadcasters across the Middle East and North Africa. He also serves as Hollywood correspondent for Dubai-based Al Arabiya Television, reporting on the entertainment industry for audiences across the Arab world.

His election places an Armenian-Arabic media executive at the head of one of Hollywood's most prominent nonprofit organizations dedicated to supporting the future of filmmaking and journalism.
