Armenian Gymnast Artur Davtyan Secures Gold Medal in World Cup
Armenian gymnast Artur Davtyan claimed the pole vault gold medal at the inaugural round of the World Cup of Gymnastics in Cairo, Egypt. The competition, a crucial ranking event for the upcoming Paris Olympic Games, witnessed Davtyan's exceptional performance, earning him the coveted top spot on the podium.
During the final, Davtyan showcased his gymnastic skill, securing the first-place position with an impressive score of 14,933 points. This victory adds to his already illustrious career, which includes a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games and the title of world champion and two-time European champion.
In the qualification stage, Davtyan demonstrated his consistency and excellence, earning 15,000 points and clinching the top position once again. Armenia celebrated another podium finish as Vahagn Davtyan secured the silver medal in the rings exercise, scoring 14,500 points in the final. The Armenian representation continued with Artur Avetisyan, who reached the final in the same exercise and secured the 4th position with 14.470 points.
