“Armenian Melodies” Float Wins “Grand Marshal” Trophy for Most Outstanding Creative Concept and Float Design at the 2024 Rose Parade

The American Armenian Rose Float Association, Inc. (AARFA) wins big at the 135th Tournament of Roses Parade for its creation, "Armenian Melodies." The float scooped up the top honor, the "Grand Marshal" Trophy, for its amazing creativity and design.

"Armenian Melodies” was a beautiful nod to Armenian culture, showcasing a strong Armenian mom and daughter wearing traditional Taraz clothes. It was a perfect fit for the parade's theme, "Celebrating a World of Music," highlighting different musical instruments from Armenia like the duduk and dhol, making the whole float burst with Armenian musical vibes.

There were lots of meaningful symbols on the float, like Armenian birds and fruits, such as pomegranates and apricots, representing the deep roots of Armenian heritage.

"AARFA’s 'Armenian Melodies' float honored the strength of Armenian moms through the ages," shared a spokesperson from the organization. "We wanted to bring people together and help them appreciate the rich Armenian culture."
