Elina Avanesyan Inspires Young Athletes with Tennis Masterclass in Tsaghkadzor

Tsaghkadzor Sports Complex became the center of attention for young tennis players and sports enthusiasts from across Armenia. The Keron Development Foundation, together with the Tennis Federation of Armenia, organized a special event that combined both a meeting and a masterclass with professional tennis player Elina Avanesyan.

Avanesyan, who recently became a citizen of Armenia with the support of the Keron Foundation, is now officially representing Armenia at international competitions. Her visit to Tsaghkadzor was not only about tennis—it was about motivating children to dream bigger and believe in their potential.

The event began with opening remarks from Vanane Ararktsyan, Executive Director of the Keron Foundation, and Vardan Zakaryan, President of the Tennis Federation of Armenia. Both speakers stressed the importance of sports in the development of the younger generation, pointing out that sports play a vital role in shaping values of discipline, health, and determination.

More than 200 children and tennis fans traveled from Yerevan, Vanadzor, and Gyumri to be part of the experience. They welcomed Avanesyan with excitement and joined her on the tennis court for practice sessions and friendly games. For many of the children, this was their first chance to play alongside a professional athlete who now represents Armenia on the world stage.

The program also included a small competition with prizes, which made the day even more engaging. Children had the chance to ask Avanesyan their questions, and she responded with advice based on her own journey in sports. Afterward, the young participants lined up for photos and autographs, and each of them received a small tennis-themed gift to remember the day.

For Avanesyan, the masterclass was a moment of connection and encouragement. She shared her thoughts with the children, saying: “It is a great joy for me to return to Armenia and share my experience. I hope these meetings will inspire children to stay motivated and pursue their biggest goals.”

This initiative was also part of the Keron Development Foundation’s broader mission to support sports in Armenia. By organizing events like this, the foundation aims to give young athletes opportunities to meet role models, learn from their experiences, and strengthen their motivation to continue training.

Elina Avanesyan’s 2025 visit was made possible through sponsorship from Adidas, the official representative of the brand in Armenia. The partnership reflects a growing effort to expand Armenia’s presence in international sports and to invest in the country’s future athletes.
