The delegation's itinerary includes visits to major Armenian cities such as Yerevan, Gyumri, and, time permitting, possibly Kapan. The trip will feature meetings with Armenian local government officials, media outlets, business leaders, and community organizations. Participants will engage in panels and discussions focused on sister city relations, democracy, and bilateral cooperation in various sectors.

The visit is expected to deepen the connections between U.S. cities and Armenia, fostering meaningful collaborations. Reflecting on the trip, Mayor Asatryan, whose city Glendale has the largest concentration of Armenians outside of Armenia, emphasized the importance of these ties. "Glendale and Armenia are intertwined in every way. This trip represents an incredible opportunity to deepen our connections, share knowledge, and create meaningful collaborations that benefit both Glendale and Armenia," she said.

Mayor Asatryan’s last visit to Armenia in December 2022-January 2023 established a partnership between Armenia’s Opera House and Los Angeles Opera and included visits to Glendale’s Sister Cities Gyumri and Kapan. This visit highlighted the importance of structured sister city policies, which are now under review by the Glendale City Council to ensure more effective and accountable exchanges.

During the blockade of Martuni, Artsakh, Mayor Asatryan called for the creation of an Artsakh Fund in Glendale, encouraging donations from larger organizations. The delegation's visit will also explore how these funds can support refugees displaced from Martuni Artsakh.
