Heavy Rains Flood Yerevan Districts Again

Heavy rains have once again caused flooding in several administrative districts of Yerevan. The South-West district and Proshyan Street are among the areas heavily affected.

Gagik Surenyan, the deputy director of the "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" under the RA Ministry of Environment, shared a video showing the flooding in the South-West district of Yerevan. The video shows streets filled with water, showing the impact of the recent heavy rainfall.
This flooding is not an isolated incident. Yerevan has experienced similar issues in the past, with heavy rains often overwhelming the city's drainage systems. Residents in the affected areas face significant challenges, including disrupted transportation and potential damage to homes and businesses.

Local authorities are working to address the flooding. Efforts are underway to improve the city's infrastructure to better handle heavy rains in the future. However, the frequent flooding shows the ongoing need for comprehensive solutions to manage the effects of extreme weather.
