Karen Khachanov Secures Victory, Advances to Third Round at Australian Open

Russian-Armenian tennis sensation Karen Khachanov, seeded No 15, showcased his tennis skills at the Australian Open 2024 by securing a victory over American qualifier Aleksandar Kovacevic. In a gripping four-set match at Melbourne Park on Wednesday, Khachanov claimed a 6-4, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 win, earning his ticket to the third round.


The 25-year-old Khachanov, currently ranked No 15, demonstrated his skill and determination on the court, setting the stage for a potential face-off with the victor between American Frances Tiafoe (seeded No 17) and Tomas Machac in the upcoming round.


In the previous round, Khachanov faced a formidable challenge from German Daniel Altmaier, overcoming him in a closely contested battle with a scoreline of 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (5), 7-6 (3). The victory further solidified Khachanov's standing in the tournament.
