Moxie Robot, Founded by Paolo Pirjanian, Wins Prestigious CES 2024 Award
The cutting-edge Moxie robot, developed by Paolo Pirjanian's American-Armenian company Embodied, secured top honors in the "Artificial Intelligence" category at the renowned CES 2024 international consumer electronics exhibition in Las Vegas.
The Moxie robot, a creation of Embodied, a company founded by Paolo Pirjanian in 2016, was recognized for its groundbreaking impact on child development. Designed for children aged 5-10, especially those with physical and other disabilities, Moxie employs artificial intelligence (AI) to foster emotional growth and communication skills.
Pirjanian expressed pride in Moxie AI's recognition, telling The Armenian Report, "This is one step towards our mission to change the world one child at a time." The robot's holistic approach utilizes advanced technology and AI to facilitate key developmental skills through interactive play, allowing caregivers to monitor the child's progress via a dedicated application, as highlighted by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Embodied Inc., a trailblazer in generative AI and robotics, introduced Moxie AI as the next generation companion robot. More than a playmate, Moxie AI serves as a tutor, friend, and mentor, engaging children in play-based learning. The robot focuses on nurturing fundamental social and emotional skills, such as problem-solving, critical and creative thinking, emotional intelligence, and regulation.
Moxie AI offers a subscription-based Tutor Mode, allowing children to explore academic subjects at their own pace, including reading, math, science, and social studies. The robot provides a safe and non-judgmental space for children to learn, and within just one month, 71% of children exhibited improvements in social skills and behavior.
