U.S. President Donald Trump Publicly Endorses Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan Ahead of June 7 Election

U.S. President Donald Trump has publicly endorsed Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan ahead of Armenia’s parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7, 2026.

In a post published on his Truth Social platform, Trump described Pashinyan as “a great friend and Leader” and praised his leadership, regional vision, and cooperation with the United States.

“Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, of Armenia, a great friend and Leader, is making his Country strong, wealthy, and very secure! Nikol completely shares my vision of PEACE and PROSPERITY for Armenia and the entire South Caucasus region,” Trump wrote.

Trump also referenced the recent visit of U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Armenia, stating that Rubio “advanced several important Deals for both our Countries.” Rubio briefly traveled to Yerevan earlier this week for meetings linked to growing U.S.-Armenia cooperation. The American president also highlighted the planned “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” initiative, also known as TRIPP, which he said would transform the South Caucasus and expand opportunities for American energy companies.

Trump further announced that the United States and Armenia would soon “break ground together” on the project.

“For these reasons, Nikol has my COMPLETE and TOTAL Endorsement for Re-Election on June 7, 2026,” Trump wrote.

The message concluded with the slogan: “Make (Armenia) Great Again — MAGA!”

Trump’s endorsement is expected to draw major political attention both inside Armenia and internationally ahead of the country’s parliamentary elections.
