A new holiday-themed film set in Armenia will make its exclusive streaming debut in the United States on Sunday, November 30, through the Wonder Project subscription on Prime Video. A Winter’s Song tells the story of a young musician searching for inspiration and belonging, and brings Armenia’s culture, music, and traditions to the screen for a global audience.
The Armenian Report also had the opportunity to film behind-the-scenes moments during the production, offering a closer look at how the project came to life.
The film follows a struggling artist who decides to take a bold step and visit Armenia for the first time. She hopes the trip will help her rediscover the joy she once felt for her music. As she explores the country, she becomes immersed in its landscapes, customs, and creative spirit. Her visit becomes a journey of personal transformation that pushes her to rethink her dreams and understand her own heart.
The cast includes Krista Marina as Liana, Edgar Damatian as David, Jessie Bedrossian as Sophia, Judah McFadden as Arthur, Kev Orkian as Uncle George, and Lily Vardan as Aunt Karine.

The film is written, produced, and directed by Angela Asatrian. Yvette M. Amirian, ACE, serves as the editor. The cinematographer is Miko Malkhasyan, ACG, and the original score is composed by Arman Aloyan. The producing team includes Annie Dashtoyan, Yvette M. Amirian, Christine Soussa, Edgar Damatian, and Miko Malkhasyan. Executive producers are Narine Galstian, Karo Kavoukjian, and Sylvia Kavoukjian. Armine Anda and Diana Avetisyan are co-producers, while Sisian Boghossian, Mariam Torosyan, Misty Megia, Nona Melkonian, and Edisson Chatchatrian join as associate producers.
For the filmmakers, the project carries deep personal meaning. Many of them are part of the Armenian community and saw the film as an opportunity to celebrate their heritage and share it with a wider audience.

Editor and producer Yvette M. Amirian said to The Armenian Report, “For me I loved the idea of representing our culture and country through the universal spirit of coming home for the holidays. Our culture is so frequently under represented or misrepresented, so to have an opportunity to be the editor and one of the producers helping tell this beautiful story was so meaningful. It also helps that I got to make it with an incredible cast and crew who I now consider dear friends.”
Writer, director, and producer Angela Asatrian described the production experience as deeply fulfilling. “It was a dream come true to film in Armenia and represent our country in such a positive, fun, happy way. I absolutely love Armenia and want the world to love it, as well. The experience of filming there was truly magical. Our team worked so incredibly hard and everyone poured their heart and soul into the project. I’m really proud of the team and what we’ve accomplished.”
The film is available for viewing starting November 30 on Wonder Project Subscription on Prime Video.
