Vicken Euljekjian and his wife Linda have met for the first time after five years of separation caused by his captivity. The long-awaited reunion took place in Armenia, marking an emotional moment for the family after years of hardship and uncertainty.
The meeting came shortly after Linda Euljekjian’s arrival in Armenia, following Vicken's return from Azerbaijani captivity. For the couple, the reunion represented the end of a long period marked by separation, legal struggles, and limited communication.
Family members described the moment as deeply emotional, as Vicken and Linda were finally able to see each other in person after years apart. The reunion also brought relief to their children, who had been waiting for their father’s return and the family’s reunification.
The meeting marked an important step forward for the Euljekjian family as they begin to heal from the experience of captivity and separation. Attention now turns to Vicken’s recovery and the family’s plans to return to normal life, including his eventual return to Lebanon.
Vigen Euljekjyan, a Lebanese-Armenian, had been held in Azerbaijan since shortly after the 2020 war and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
