Anna Amroyan Wins Silver at European Weightlifting Championships

Armenian weightlifter Anna Amroyan claimed the silver medal at the European Weightlifting Championships taking place in Chișinău, Moldova.
Amroyan earned a total of 231 kg (100 kg snatch + 131 kg clean and jerk), securing second place overall. She finished sixth in the snatch but came back strong in the clean and jerk to win the bronze medal. Amroyan was just 2 kg short of the gold, which was retained by Italy’s champion lifter, Tokoi.
In the same weight category, fellow Armenian Milena Khachatryan lifted a total of 226 kg (95 kg + 131 kg), placing sixth overall. Khachatryan ranked 12th in the snatch but impressed in the clean and jerk, winning the silver medal for that segment.
Earlier in the competition, Armenia celebrated more podium finishes, with Alexandra Grigoryan (55 kg), Gor Sahakyan (73 kg), and Rafik Harutyunyan (81 kg) all becoming European silver medalists. Garnik Cholakyan (61 kg) also earned a bronze medal.
