Armed Attack on Artsakh President's Residence Leads to Arrests of Two Individuals
In a shocking incident that unfolded in the early hours of Monday morning, an armed attack was carried out towards the residence of the Artsakh President, leading to the apprehension of two individuals under the influence of alcohol. The incident took place at 3:05 a.m. in the capital city of Stepanakert.
According to the Artsakh Police, law enforcement received information about the armed attack directed at the Artsakh Presidential residence. Responding swiftly to the call, police officers arrived at the scene and managed to detain two individuals, identified as T. H. (born in 1983) and A. A. (born in 1981), both residents of Stepanakert. The individuals were apprehended on the street, on suspicion of their involvement in the incident.
Investigations by the police revealed that around 3 a.m., in an alarming turn of events fueled by alcohol, the two suspects coordinated their actions. They reportedly left the presidential residence and fired shots towards the building and the security officers present in the vicinity.
It's important to note that the citizens of Artsakh have been under a blockade since December 2022. The blockade has led to a significant humanitarian crisis in the Republic. Citizens are expressing dissatisfaction with their government officials, particularly the current President. Additionally, all citizens are suffering from malnutrition and psychological distress.
