Armenia and Azerbaijan Hold Meeting of Border Demarcation Commissions
At the border between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, the fifth meeting of the State Border Demarcation and Border Security Committee was held on November 30 under the chairmanship of Mustafaev.
During this session, representatives from both sides continued deliberations on demarcation issues while addressing various organizational and procedural matters. A noteworthy outcome emerged as the parties reached preliminary agreement on the working procedure governing the organization and conduct of future meetings and joint working sessions.
Of particular significance was the mutual accord to commence the coordination process concerning the draft regulation outlining collaborative activities between the Commission on Demarcation and Border Security of the State Border between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Commission on the Demarcation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia.
Furthermore, both parties committed to ramping up efforts by agreeing to intensify meetings of the commissions and actively engage in the formulation of joint activities.
In a move signaling a commitment to sustained dialogue, the parties set a working order to determine the date and location for the subsequent meeting of the commissions.
