Armenia and Iran Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Strengthen Ties in Labor Exchange

Armenian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Narek Mkrtchyan, is on a working visit to Iran. During his visit, Minister Mkrtchyan held crucial discussions with Seyyed Sowlat Mortazavi, the Iranian Minister of Labor, Cooperatives, and Social Welfare.

The ministers explored avenues to expand cooperation between their nations in the domains of labor and social protection, delving into matters of mutual interest. Following these discussions, both parties took a historic step by signing a Memorandum of Understanding, solidifying their commitment to bolster cooperation and facilitate the exchange of labor between Armenia and Iran.

Under the memorandum, the two nations pledged to collaborate closely to ensure employment opportunities, deter illegal migration, and simplify the labor exchange process. A pivotal aspect of this agreement entails the regular exchange of information regarding job vacancies, sectors in demand, and necessary professional qualifications in both countries.
