Armenian gymnasts Hamlet Manukyan and Mamikon Khachatryan shared the podium at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on Saturday, winning gold and bronze in the men’s pommel horse final.
Manukyan scored 15.300 points to claim the world title, finishing ahead of Italy’s Gabriele Targhetta, who took silver with 15.233. Khachatryan earned bronze with 15.000 points, giving Armenia two of the three medals in the event.
Both Armenians entered the final among the leading contenders. Manukyan had topped the qualifying round with 14.933 points, while Khachatryan advanced in fourth place with 14.733.
