Armenia will host the multinational military exercise "Eagle Partner 2026" from June 17 to June 25 as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen its participation in international peacekeeping missions, the Armenian Ministry of Defense announced.
The annual exercise will bring together peacekeeping personnel from Armenia, the United States, France, and Greece, to show growing international defense cooperation and a shared focus on global peacekeeping operations.
According to the ministry, the drills will involve 250 servicemembers from Armenia's Peacekeeping Brigade, 58 personnel from the U.S. Army Europe and Africa and the Kansas National Guard, 24 troops from France, and 11 from Greece.
The exercise will focus on preparing and conducting peacekeeping operations, with participating forces carrying out training scenarios designed to improve coordination in multinational missions.
Armenian defense officials said the primary goal of Eagle Partner 2026 is to enhance interoperability among units participating in international peacekeeping deployments, facilitate the exchange of best practices in command and tactical communications, and further strengthen the readiness of Armenia's peacekeeping forces.
The exercise reflects Armenia's continuing efforts to deepen cooperation with Western military partners while expanding the capabilities of its internationally deployable peacekeeping units.
Eagle Partner has become a regular feature of Armenia's military training calendar. Last year's Eagle Partner 2025 exercise, held from August 12 to 20, was conducted jointly by Armenian and U.S. forces and focused largely on medical support training and the comparison of operational equipment used in peacekeeping environments.
