Armenian-American set decorator Kimberly Kachougian has earned a 2026 Primetime Emmy Award nomination for her work on NBC's Saturday Night Live, adding another milestone to a career that has helped shape one of television's most iconic comedy shows. The nomination was announced Wednesday as the Television Academy unveiled the nominees for the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards.
Kachougian is nominated in the Outstanding Production Design for a Variety or Reality Series category alongside production designers Keith Ian Raywood, Akira Yoshimura, N. Joseph DeTullio and Ken MacLeod, and art director Melissa Shakun for Saturday Night Live's episode hosted by Jack Black.

The nomination adds to Kachougian's growing list of accolades. She previously won an Emmy as part of the Saturday Night Live production design team and has earned three Emmy Awards over the course of her television career.
Kachougian has worked on Saturday Night Live for about a decade, serving as the set decorator for the show's fast-paced pre-taped film unit. Her role includes making creative decisions on set decoration, selecting props, furniture, flooring, lighting and other visual elements that bring each sketch to life.
Outside of television, Kachougian owns Mac & the Mushroom, a floral design company based in Hoboken, New Jersey. A graduate of Adelphi University, she began her career in theater design before moving into film and television production.
The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards will be held on Sept. 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, while the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, where production design categories are recognized, are scheduled for Sept. 5-6
