Armenia’s athletes proudly took part in the opening ceremony parade of nations at the 25th Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, carrying the national tricolor before a global audience.
Figure skaters Karina Akopova and Nikita Rakhmanin were chosen as Armenia’s flag bearers for the ceremony. The pair made history earlier in the season by securing Armenia’s first-ever Olympic quota in pair figure skating since independence.
Behind the flag, Armenia’s full Olympic delegation followed, including cross-country skiers Mikael Mikaelyan and Katya Galstyan, as well as alpine skier Harutyun Harutyunyan. Together, the five athletes represented Armenia across skiing and figure skating events at the Games.
As they entered the stadium, the Armenian tricolor was met with cheers from spectators, including members of the Armenian diaspora who had traveled to Italy to witness the historic moment. The parade is the official start of Armenia’s Olympic campaign, ahead of several days of competition across the Winter Games’ packed schedule.
For Armenian fans around the world, the flag parade is a proud reminder of the country’s growing presence in winter sports and the dedication of its athletes on the Olympic stage.

Really enjoyed reading this post — the way you highlighted Armenia’s presence and pride at the Opening Ceremony was very moving and gave a great sense of how meaningful the moment was for both the athletes and fans around the world. It’s inspiring to see Karina Akopova and Nikita Rakhmanin leading the team with the tricolor, and how the whole delegation carried themselves with such dignity and enthusiasm. I recently came across a similar discussion on a review blog like https://www.phonydiploma.com/, and it offered an interesting perspective on how smaller nations make big impressions at global events. Looking forward to more updates like this!
Moments like these go beyond sports—they represent unity, culture, and national identity on a global stage. I appreciate how the article highlights not only the event itself but also the broader significance for Armenia and its athletes. While reading, it reminded me of a conversation I recently saw on a review blog where platforms like https://www.masterstorage365.com/ were mentioned in relation to preserving important digital memories and event coverage, which adds an interesting perspective on how people keep track of meaningful moments like international sporting events. Thanks for sharing such an engaging and inspiring update.
Such a proud milestone for Armenia at the 2026 Winter Olympics! Seeing the tricolor carried by athletes who made history in pair skating is truly inspiring. That same focus and balance they show on the ice reminds me of landing the perfect move in Wacky Flip — precision makes all the difference.
