Armenians of Los Angeles March for Artsakh Demanding Azerbaijan to End the Blockade

On Saturday, January 28 Armenian-Americans of the Los Angeles diaspora held a march for Artsakh demanding an end to the Azerbaijani blockade.

The march started from the Wilshire Federal Building and ended at the Azerbaijani Consulate.

Upon arriving at the consulate building, protesters were greeted with a big sign that read: Terrorists work here. The reason for the sign was to describe the ongoing blockade of Azerbaijan which has caused a catastrophic humanitarian crisis for the 120,000 Armenians who live in Artsakh.

Local officials were also present at the march including Glendale City Mayor Ardy Kassakhian who was holding a sign of a photo of children from Artsakh.

Azerbaijan is keeping the Lachin Corridor blocked since December 12, 2022. The corridor is Nagorno Karabakh’s (Artsakh) only road to Armenia and the rest of the world. The blockade has caused an ongoing humanitarian crisis with widespread shortages of essential supplies such as food, medicine, gas, electricity, etc.
