France Reaffirms Unwavering Support for Armenia with Defense Agreements

French Minister of the Armed Forces, Sébastien Lecornu, affirmed France's steadfast commitment to Armenia and its people. The declaration came in a social media post where Minister Lecornu shared a video from the recent visit of Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan to Paris.

"Our constant and resolute support does not waver," Minister Lecornu stated emphatically, highlighting the enduring friendship between France and Armenia. The announcement follows a series of significant agreements cementing the alliance between the two nations.

Earlier this week, Armenia and France finalized a pivotal contract for the acquisition of three GM200 radars, enhancing Armenia's defense capabilities. Additionally, the parties signed a letter of intent outlining the future delivery of France’s advanced Mistral short-range air defense system to bolster Armenia's security infrastructure.

The collaboration between Armenia and France reflects a deep-rooted partnership built on mutual respect and shared values. These agreements signify not only a strengthening of defense capabilities for Armenia but also a testament to the unwavering support offered by France in bolstering regional stability and security.

As diplomatic ties continue to flourish, both nations look forward to a future marked by strengthened cooperation, shared innovations, and a commitment to fostering peace and security in the region.
