Hell’s Kitchen Contestant Shant Halajian to Celebrate 100,000 Subscribers by Serving Meals to 1,000 Children

Armenian-American chef and entrepreneur Shant Halajian, founder of Mr. Flavor and a contestant on Season 23 of Hell’s Kitchen, is celebrating a major milestone for his growing online community by launching a large-scale charitable initiative to serve children in Southern California.
Halajian said Mr. Flavor recently surpassed 100,000 subscribers on YouTube. To mark the milestone, the company is partnering with the Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and Greater East Valley to provide meals and a special community event for approximately 1,000 children.
Rather than celebrating the milestone with giveaways or personal rewards, Halajian said he wanted to use the achievement as an opportunity to give back.
“When we reached 50,000 subscribers, we partnered with and served local firefighters,” Halajian said. “This time, we wanted to do something even bigger.”
Born in Aleppo, Syria, Halajian immigrated to Los Angeles with his family at a young age. He began his culinary career washing dishes and worked his way through professional kitchens before training at some of the country’s most respected culinary institutions and restaurants, including The French Laundry. He later gained national attention as a contestant on Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen.
Halajian said the mission behind Mr. Flavor has evolved beyond food content and entertainment into a broader effort to create positive community impact.
“For me, this initiative is deeply personal,” he said. “Having experienced hardship and uncertainty in my own life, I’ve always carried a responsibility to use every opportunity I’ve been given to help others.”
According to Halajian, the event is intended to be the beginning of an ongoing commitment rather than a one-time celebration. He said serving children and supporting local communities will become a recurring part of Mr. Flavor’s mission moving forward.
The event will be documented by Mr. Flavor’s production team as part of a bigger effort to encourage others to use their own businesses, talents, and platforms to support their communities.
While food will be at the center of the gathering, Halajian said the larger goal is to create meaningful experiences for children.
“Food was a source of comfort, connection, and hope throughout my journey, and now I want to extend that same feeling to the next generation,” he said.
Reflecting on the milestone, Halajian added:
“Growing up in Syria and building a life in America taught me that opportunity is a gift. Reaching 100,000 subscribers is an incredible milestone, but the real milestone is what we do with it. If food has given me a platform, then my responsibility is to use that platform to serve others. We started with flavor. Now we’re serving hope.”
Halajian said he hopes the initiative inspires others to find their own ways to give back, whether through food, mentorship, volunteer work, or simple acts of kindness.
“It’s about proving that success becomes meaningful when it’s shared,” he said.
