Hripsime Khurshudyan Awarded International Referee Title by the International Weightlifting Federation

Armenian weightlifter Hripsime Khurshudyan has officially received the title of international referee from the International Weightlifting Federation. The new title allows her to take part as a referee in major tournaments, including European and World Championships, according to the Armenian Weightlifting Federation.

This recognition is another important milestone for Khurshudyan, who has represented Armenia with distinction in international competitions for many years. Her transition from athlete to referee shows her continued dedication to the sport and her commitment to supporting the next generation of Armenian weightlifters.

In a congratulatory message, the President of the Weightlifting Federation of Armenia, Arayik Harutyunyan, said the federation’s growing cooperation with international sports bodies and the importance of maintaining Armenia’s strong presence in global weightlifting.

 “The Weightlifting Federation of Armenia continues to strengthen its cooperation with international organizations through consistent work. I sincerely congratulate Hripsime Khurshudyan on receiving the title of international referee.

 With our joint efforts, Armenian weightlifting will continue to be represented with dignity on the international stage,” Harutyunyan said.

Alongside Khurshudyan’s achievement, the federation also announced that Gor Martirosyan has been awarded the title of national referee. This is part of the organization’s bigger effort to train and recognize qualified professionals who can contribute to the sport’s development within Armenia and abroad.
