The Armenian Report has obtained an exclusive photo from Iran showing the office compound of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in Tehran reportedly destroyed by an Israeli strike. Khamenei’s compound was reportedly destroyed by an Israeli strike after the Iranian leader was moved to a “secure location.”
The Armenian Report tried to confirm this information through its inside sources. According to one source, it appears the news could be true and that Ali Khamenei may have been killed in the initial attack. Initial reports from Israeli media mentioned “growing indications that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed in a US and Israeli strike.”
This information came from Channel 12, which cited unnamed Israeli sources describing the situation as unclear but possibly fatal for Khamenei.
However, there is still no official confirmation from Iranian authorities or from Israel.
The Armenian Report has obtained a photo showing smoke rising from the office compound of Ali Khamenei in Tehran following the reported strikes. The image shows thick smoke billowing into the sky above the area believed to be the Supreme Leader’s office. The exact extent of the damage remains unclear, and there has been no official confirmation from Iranian authorities regarding Khamenei’s condition.
The first explosions were reported near Khamenei’s offices in Tehran. An Israeli official said the results of the strikes remain unclear. Earlier reports had suggested that Khamenei may have been moved from Tehran to a secure location before or during the attack.
Both Khamenei’s palace and compound in the Iranian capital are reported to have been completely destroyed in the operation. However, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the Ayatollah is alive “as far as I know.” Video footage from Tehran showed smoke rising above the compound believed to serve as his official residence. Screams and laughter could be heard from a nearby rooftop as witnesses reacted to the blast. “Oh my God they hit it. They struck it. Oh my God,” one woman shouts in the footage.
Reports also say that the head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, General Mohammad Pakpour, has been killed. Israeli sources said they believe Pakpour, described as the architect of the regime’s crackdown against protesters, was eliminated along with several senior military officials.
The United States and Israel launched strikes across multiple Iranian cities, including Tehran, Bushehr, Qom, Karaj, Kermanshah, and Isfahan. In Tehran, key sites, including Khamenei’s palace and compound, the Ministry of Intelligence, and the Ministry of Defence, were reportedly hit.
Beyond Iran, strikes were also carried out in southern Lebanon targeting Hezbollah infrastructure, and in Al-Nasr in Iraq, where Iran-supporting militia groups are said to operate.
In a post on Truth Social, Donald Trump told the Ayatollah to either “surrender or die” as he confirmed the United States had launched strikes across several cities in Iran.
He said: “To the members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard, the armed forces and all of the police, I say tonight that you must lay down your weapons and have complete immunity.
“Or in the alternative, face certain death. So, lay down your arms. You will be treated fairly with total immunity, or you will face certain death.”
Iran responded by launching missiles across Israel, including in Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Jerusalem. In a statement, Iran’s military said that all U.S. “bases, resources and assets” are “legitimate targets.”
Dramatic footage reportedly showed Iran striking the headquarters of the U.S. Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain, sending a large cloud of smoke into the sky. Iran also targeted U.S. infrastructure at Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates, Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, and areas in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Explosions have also been reported in Dubai and Syria, while Jordan reportedly shot down two ballistic missiles.
Fighting between Iran and Israel continues, with both sides exchanging multiple waves of strikes across the Middle East. Countries around the world are calling for calm and urgent de-escalation. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer held an emergency Cobra meeting in Downing Street.
There is uncertainty over whether Trump will provide a further update on the operation, which American officials have dubbed “Epic Fury.”
Khamenei, 86, has served as Iran’s supreme leader since 1989, when he succeeded Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic. As supreme leader, he has had ultimate authority over Iran’s government, military, and judiciary, and has also served as the country’s highest spiritual authority.
His decades in power have been marked by a hostile relationship with the West, especially the United States. Tensions between Khamenei and the Trump administration increased in recent weeks as American warships moved into the region and the U.S. president pushed for a deal to limit Iran’s nuclear program.
Khamenei had expressed hope to avoid war but insisted that Iran has the right to enrich uranium. He has long stated that Iran would never build a nuclear weapon and that its nuclear activities are for civilian purposes only.
As of now, there is no official confirmation regarding Khamenei’s fate. Conflicting reports and claims from multiple sides continue to create uncertainty as the situation develops.
