Meet Naré: Armenia’s 13-Year-Old Junior Eurovision Singer Has Released “BOO!”

Thirteen-year-old Naré Kerobyan will represent Armenia at the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with “BOO!,” fulfilling a goal she had pursued through four national selection attempts.

Armenia’s Public Television released the song and its official music video Wednesday, formally introducing the country’s entry for the Oct. 24 competition in Malta.

“BOO!” was composed by Lilit Navasardyan, with lyrics by Grigor Kyokchyan. The music video was directed by Artun Manukyan.

Naré was chosen after more than 100 young performers applied to represent Armenia. Forty advanced to a second round of auditions in July, where they were evaluated by an eight-member professional jury that included Rosa Linn, Armenia’s 2022 Eurovision representative and the singer behind the international hit “Snap.” An international jury was also involved later in the selection process.

For Naré, the selection came after years of trying. Armenia’s head of delegation, David Tserunyan, said she had entered the selection process three times before finally earning the ticket to Junior Eurovision on her fourth attempt.

The Yerevan-born singer has experience in music, dance and acting and has appeared in television and music projects in Armenia. She is the daughter of businessman and former Armenian Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan and Mariam Harutyunyan.

Naré will perform “BOO!” at the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre in Ta’ Qali, where young performers from 16 countries will compete in the 24th edition of Junior Eurovision.

Armenia enters this year’s contest with one of Junior Eurovision’s strongest records. Since its debut in 2007, the country has won twice — Vladimir Arzumanyan took the title with “Mama” in 2010, followed by Maléna with “Qami Qami” in 2021. Both victories brought the contest to Yerevan the following year.

Armenia has remained near the top of the scoreboard in recent editions. Albert Armenakyan finished fourth with “Brave Heart” in 2025, following a third-place finish by Yan Girls in 2023 and a runner-up result for Nare Ghazaryan in 2022.

This year’s Junior Eurovision will be held Oct. 24 in Malta, with performers ages 9 to 14 representing 16 countries.
