Shooter Hovhannes Margaryan Wins Gold and Sets World Record at 2025 European Shooting Championship

Armenian shooter Hovhannes Margaryan has won the gold medal at the European Shooting Championship in the men’s individual 50m moving target shotgun competition. According to the International Shooting Sport Federation, Margaryan set a new world and European record during the competition.
Margaryan scored 297 points in the slow-moving target round and 294 points in the fast-moving target round. With a total of 591 points, he set a new record for this competition.
Sweden’s Jesper Nyberg took the silver medal, finishing just two points behind Margaryan. Hungary’s Tamas Tasi received the bronze medal, also two points behind the winner.
In the team event for men, Armenia, represented by Hovhannes Margaryan, Gor Khachatryan, and Hayk Minasyan, won the bronze medal with 1,738 points. Sweden secured the gold medal in the team category with 1,740 points, while Finland earned silver.

Hovhannes Margaryan is a well-known Armenian sport shooter who focuses on running target shooting. He is known for his accuracy and performance. This gold medal and record-setting result are important achievements in his career.
