VOMA Announces 10-Day Mountain Training Camp for Participants From Homeland and Diaspora

VOMA, an Armenian organization that provides voluntary defense training, will hold a 10-day mountain training camp in northern Armenia later this month, offering participants from Armenia and the Armenian diaspora an opportunity to take part in intensive field exercises focused on survival, tactical movement and mountain operations.
The camp is scheduled for Aug. 14-23 in the village of Athan in Lori Province. According to the organization, the program is open to Armenians of different ages, professions and backgrounds.
Training will include firearms instruction, first aid, physical and tactical exercises, mountain hiking, mountaineering and field marches. Organizers say the goal is to strengthen participants' practical skills, teamwork, endurance and ability to operate in difficult terrain and changing conditions.
VOMA describes the program as an immersive field course designed to simulate real-world operational environments. Participants are expected to spend up to 19 hours a day in training, continuing exercises during both daylight and nighttime hours and in varying weather conditions.
The curriculum also includes wilderness survival, battlefield tactics, emergency medical response, crossing natural obstacles, coordinated assault and withdrawal drills, ambush and counter-ambush exercises, firearms proficiency and extended tactical marches.
Registration for the camp is available through VOMA's official website.
