Vote for Armenia to Win World’s Leading Heritage Destination 2026 Again

VOTE: Armenia is in the running for one of the World Travel Awards’ top global tourism honors, earning a nomination for World’s Leading Heritage Destination 2026.
Voting in the worldwide category opened October 6 and will continue through October 30, according to the World Travel Awards. Winners will be recognized at the organization’s Grand Final Gala Ceremony in Tanzania on December 12.
The nomination puts Armenia’s centuries-old cultural and architectural heritage back on the international tourism stage. The country is home to ancient monasteries, archaeological sites and religious landmarks that draw visitors from around the world.
It is not Armenia’s first appearance in the category. The country won World’s Leading Heritage Destination in 2021 and has since received repeated nominations for the global title. Armenia was also named Europe’s Leading Heritage Destination in 2025.

Earlier this year, Armenia was nominated for Europe’s Leading Cultural Destination and Europe’s Leading Heritage Destination in the 2026 awards.
The World Travel Awards were established in 1993 to recognize achievements across the travel, tourism and hospitality industries.
Voting for the 2026 global awards closes at midnight U.K. time on Oct. 30.
