Anna Amroyan Wins Bronze at European Weightlifting Championships

Armenian weightlifter Anna Amroyan won the bronze medal at the European Junior and U23 Weightlifting Championships held in Durrës, Albania.
19-year-old Amroyan competed in the women’s 77 kg category, representing Armenia among Europe’s strongest young athletes. In the snatch, she successfully lifted 98 kg. During the clean and jerk, Amroyan first lifted 126 kg, and then 130 kg, which set a new European record. With that achievement, she placed second in the clean and jerk event.
Overall, with a total of 228 kg, Anna Amroyan earned the bronze medal in the combined result at the European Championships.
The Armenian team was guided by head coach Artashes Nersisyan, assistant coach Taron Tovmasyan, and Amroyan’s personal coach Kristine Petrosyan.
