Ceasefire Violation: Azerbaijan Deploys Firearms in Artsakh, No Losses Reported
The ceasefire in Artsakh faced a breach as the armed forces of Azerbaijan utilized firearms between 6:55pm on Tuesday and 12:10am on Wednesday. The violation occurred in the Shushi and Martakert regions of Artsakh, raising tensions in the region.
Thankfully, the Armenian side reported no losses as a result of the ceasefire violation, according to the press service of the Artsakh Ministry of Defense (MoD).
The incident was swiftly brought to the attention of the Russian peacekeeping contingent stationed in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), as part of the established protocols for maintaining peace and stability in the area.
Despite this breach, the situation along the line of contact remained relatively stable as of 9:30am on Wednesday, suggesting efforts to manage and contain potential escalations. The international community continues to monitor the situation closely, underscoring the importance of maintaining the fragile ceasefire to prevent further hostilities and promote a lasting peace in the region.
