Armenian shooter Elmira Karapetyan achieved another major career victory by winning the “Polish Open Kaliber” international tournament held in Białystok, Poland. The competition brought together skilled shooters from different countries, and the final day was dedicated to individual events.
Karapetyan, who has been part of Armenia’s national shooting team for many years, delivered a strong performance throughout the event. She scored 569 points in the qualification round, ensuring her place in the final. In the final stage, Karapetyan secured a clear and confident win with 242.3 points, earning the gold medal and the top title of the tournament.

Elmira Karapetyan is one of Armenia’s most experienced and decorated pistol shooters. She has represented Armenia in European and World Cup events, and she competed in the Tokyo Olympic Games, where she became the first Armenian woman to represent the country in the 10-meter air pistol event. Over the years, she has built a reputation for consistency, discipline, and calm performance under pressure.

Her success in Białystok follows another strong result earlier in the tournament. Together with teammate Benik Khllghatyan, Karapetyan won the silver medal in the 10-meter air pistol mixed team event. This continues her record of performing well both individually and as part of Armenia’s mixed teams.
