EU Sanctions Training Seminars Held in Yerevan
The European Union (EU) recently organized a comprehensive two-day training session in Yerevan, Armenia, focusing on EU sanctions. Held on the 7th and 8th of December 2023, the seminars were orchestrated in collaboration with the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) and the Association of Certified Sanctions Specialists (ACSS), as reported by the EU delegation in Armenia.
The primary objective of these seminars was to enhance understanding and awareness among participants regarding the application of EU sanctions while preventing potential circumvention of these crucial measures.
The inaugural day of the seminar witnessed the gathering of government officials, where discussions revolved around the nuanced aspects and implications of EU sanctions. The subsequent day's seminar was tailored specifically for Armenian private sector entities keen on augmenting their comprehension of EU-imposed sanctions.
