Armenia and Apple are exploring new ways to work together in fields such as artificial intelligence, semiconductor development, and education. The discussion took place on November 20, when Armenia’s Ambassador Narek Mkrtchyan visited Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino and met with Jason Lundgaard, Senior Director of International Cooperation at Corporate Government Affairs.
During the meeting, the ambassador spoke about the August 8 Memorandum of Understanding between the Governments of Armenia and the United States on AI and Semiconductor Innovation Partnership. He explained the goals of the agreement and listed Armenia’s growing technology environment. He also described the country’s investment opportunities and the strengths of its tech sector.

The two sides examined several possible areas for joint work. They also talked about what would be needed for Apple to increase its activities in Armenia. According to the agreement reached at the meeting, Apple will send a delegation to Armenia soon to study the potential for expanding the company’s presence in the country.
The ambassador also thanked Jason Lundgaard for Apple’s role in launching the company’s first educational program in Armenia at the Armenian College of Creative Technologies (ACT). Both sides confirmed that they want to continue building this program and look for new ways to expand it.
