Henrikh Mkhitaryan Honored With Gentleman Inter Award

Henrikh Mkhitaryan, former captain of Armenia’s national football team and current midfielder for Inter Milan, has received the Gentleman Inter Award. The recognition was announced on the Italian club’s official website.

“I am very happy and touched by this award. I thank everyone who voted for me. It is a great honor. Thank you,” Mkhitaryan said after receiving the prize.

The Gentleman Awards celebrate sportsmanship, respect, and professionalism in football. Along with Mkhitaryan, several other important figures of Inter were also honored. Inter president Giuseppe Marotta, vice-president Javier Zanetti, and players Lautaro Martínez, Carlos Augusto, and Nicolò Barella were among the winners.

Although Mkhitaryan retired from international duty in 2022, he remains Armenia’s all-time top scorer and most decorated player. His absence has been strongly felt in the national team. Recently, Armenia’s head coach Yeghishe Melikyan revealed that he is trying to convince Mkhitaryan to return.
