Henrikh Mkhitaryan Wins 28th Career Title as Inter Milan Lifts Italian Cup

Former Armenia national team captain Henrikh Mkhitaryan won the 28th title of his professional career after Inter Milan defeated S.S. Lazio 2-0 in the Italian Cup final at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico.
The victory is Inter’s 10th Italian Cup title and another major success for the club under Romanian head coach Cristian Chivu.
Inter took the lead early in the match when Lazio defender Adam Marušić scored an own goal in the 14th minute. The Milan side increased its advantage in the 35th minute through Argentina national team forward Lautaro Martínez, who is also a FIFA World Cup winner with Argentina.
Mkhitaryan started the final on the bench and entered the match in the 68th minute. The 37-year-old midfielder became an Italian Cup winner with Inter for the second time since joining the club.
Inter arrived at the final as the newly crowned champions of Italy and completed another successful season by adding the domestic cup to their list of achievements.
