Honoring the Legacy of Adiss Harmandian: A Special Art Exhibition in Glendale
The Center for Armenian Arts, in partnership with the Adiss Harmandian Estate, is set to commemorate the legacy of the legendary Adiss Harmandian through a unique and special art exhibition. This event will mark the 5th anniversary of Harmandian’s passing and is a significant occasion for the Armenian community and art lovers alike.
Adiss Harmandian, a beloved figure in Armenian culture, left an indelible mark through his multifaceted career. Known primarily for his contributions to music, Harmandian was also a talented singer, songwriter, poet, actor, and artist. His artistic expressions resonated deeply with Armenian audiences worldwide, making him a cultural icon. To celebrate his legacy, the Center for Armenian Arts will present his lesser-known artistic talents in an exhibition titled “Figures.”
The two-day event will be a profound tribute to Harmandian’s 50-year career and the lasting impact he had on Armenian culture. The exhibition, titled “Figures,” will debut for the first time, showcasing a collection of Harmandian’s artwork. This exhibition will feature a selection of his artistic creations, which focus on the essence of femininity. The “Figures” collection vividly captures women in bold dresses and graceful forms, embodying the vibrancy and elegance that were often reflected in the audiences who attended his concerts.
These artworks offer a glimpse into another side of Harmandian’s creativity, one that transcends his musical achievements. Through his art, visitors will have the opportunity to appreciate the depth of his talents and the diverse ways in which he expressed his love for beauty, culture, and his Armenian heritage.
The “Figures” art exhibition will take place over two days:
- Saturday, August 31: The exhibition will be open to the public from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
- Sunday, September 1: The exhibition will continue from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
The event will be held at 250 N Orange Street, Glendale, CA 91203. The exhibition is open to the public, and all are welcome to attend. Please note that the artworks on display are for exhibition purposes only and will not be available for sale.
