Nikol Pashinyan Launches TikTok Series "Conversations About the State"

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced the launch of a new series titled "Conversations About the State" on TikTok. In a video posted on Tuesday, Pashinyan introduced the series, stating that it will address various issues related to the state.

"From the title it is already obvious what issues it will cover, I just want to share some thoughts with you," Pashinyan said in the video. He emphasized the importance of democracy in Armenia, highlighting the role of citizens in shaping the state.

"We are a democracy due to the referendum of 1991 and also the people’s, non-violent, velvet revolution of 2018, and I must record that one of the key factors of democracy, if not the most key, is the citizen," Pashinyan explained.

Pashinyan also discussed the relationship between human freedoms and responsibilities, noting that citizens agree to limit their freedoms to ensure the freedom of others.

The series aims to engage citizens in discussions about the state and its governance, providing insights into democratic principles and civic engagement. Pashinyan's use of TikTok, a popular social media platform among young people, shows his efforts to reach a younger audience and start dialogue on important issues facing Armenia.
