Sev Ohanian Receives Golden Globe Nomination for Producing “Sinners”

Armenian-American film producer Sev Ohanian has received a Golden Globe nomination for his work on Sinners.

The film, produced by Ohanian alongside Ryan Coogler and Zinzi Coogler, is nominated for Best Motion Picture – Drama at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, according to the Armenian Film Society. The ceremony will air live on CBS on Sunday, Jan. 11, at 5 p.m. PST.

Sinners has emerged as one of the most acclaimed films of the year. It was named among the year’s best by the American Film Institute, the National Board of Review, and Sight & Sound.

The film has also received recognition from critics groups in the United States and Canada, including the New York Film Critics Circle, the Los Angeles Film Critics Association, the Washington DC Area Film Critics Association, and the Toronto Film Critics Association. Those honors have added momentum heading into the Golden Globe Awards and the rest of the awards season.

The nomination adds to a growing list of milestones for Ohanian. On Sept. 7, 2025, he was inducted into the Armenian Film Hall of Fame. The honor was presented by his longtime collaborator Ryan Coogler.

Ohanian has built a reputation in Hollywood as a producer whose films attract both critical and audience attention. His Golden Globe nomination for Sinners shows the continued presence of Armenian talent in global cinema.
