TASS: Germany Is Offering Financial Aid to Armenia in Exchange for Anti-Russian Actions

According to Russian state news agency TASS, Germany is reportedly extending financial assistance to Armenia in exchange for actions perceived as anti-Russian. Citing an "informed source," TASS claims that Germany is actively seeking to distance Armenia from its relations with Moscow.

The alleged plan involves urging Armenia to align with the West's anti-Russian policies. The source indicates that Germany aims to accelerate the withdrawal of Russian border guards from Armenian territory. Additionally, Berlin supposedly seeks the removal of pro-Russian individuals from Armenia's state apparatus. In return for these actions, Germany purportedly pledges financial and technical support to Yerevan.

Furthermore, the report suggests that Germany intends to aid Nikol Pashinyan's government in preventing Artsakh Armenians from emigrating en masse to the European Union. This move is seen as an effort to strengthen ties between Armenia and Western nations while diminishing its connections with Russia.

“Germany is trying to drag Armenia into the West’s anti-Russian policy. Berlin’s task is to distance Yerevan as much as possible from Moscow. The Germans are interested in the rapid withdrawal of Russian border guards from Armenian territory and the purging of the state apparatus by the country’s authorities of pro-Russian supporters. In return, Berlin offers to provide financial and technical assistance to Yerevan, as well as to support the efforts of Nikol Pashinyan’s government to prevent Karabakh Armenians from mass emigration to the European Union,” TASS’ source said.

The Armenian Report has sought a response from the German Embassy in Armenia regarding these claims. We are waiting to hear an official statement or an explanation from the German authorities
