Turkey's Defense Minister Congratulates Azerbaijan for Artsakh Attack Killing Innocent Armenians

Turkey's National Defense Minister, Yasar Guler, extended his congratulations to his Azerbaijani counterpart, Zakir Hasanov, for the recent attack on Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). The exchange of pleasantries occurred during a telephone conversation on Thursday, initiated by the Turkish side.

During their conversation, Minister Guler reaffirmed Turkey's unwavering support for Azerbaijan in its ongoing attacks on Artsakh. This gesture was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, solidifying the enduring partnership between the two countries.

The congratulatory message from Turkey's defense minister comes amidst continued aggression in the region following the large-scale attack launched by Azerbaijani forces against Nagorno-Karabakh on September 19. The conflict has resulted in civilian casualties and prompted concerns from the international community.

In Artsakh 200 people have been killed, over 400 are injured, and thousands have been displaced due to Azerbaijan’s large-scale attacks on the innocent population of Nagorno-Karabakh.
