U.S. Embassy Urges Citizens to Avoid Visiting Border Regions of Armenia Without Serious Reason

With the summer travel season underway in Armenia, the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan is reminding U.S. citizens to Avoid Visiting Border Regions of Armenia about the ongoing conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. As a precautionary measure, U.S. Embassy employees and their families are still prohibited from any non-essential travel to Armenia's border regions. However, there has been a slight easing of restrictions since they were implemented in September 2022.

Previously, the security alert forbade even crossing those regions in the case of some settlements, but now it is only recommended not to stop at those points.
