Armenia’s Women’s Chess Team Defeats Azerbaijan at 46th Chess Olympiad

Armenia’s women’s chess team defeated Azerbaijan 2.5-1.5 in the seventh round of the 46th Chess Olympiad, the Armenian Chess Federation said.

Lilit Mkrtchian and Elina Danielian won their games for Armenia, while Mariam Mkrtchyan drew her match to help secure the team victory.

The result gave Armenia 12 team points out of a possible 14 through seven rounds of the tournament.
