Armenia’s women’s chess team defeated Azerbaijan 2.5-1.5 in the seventh round of the 46th Chess Olympiad, the Armenian Chess Federation said. Lilit Mkrtchian and Elina Danielian won their games for Armenia, while Mariam Mkrtchyan drew her match to help secure the team victory. Armenia’s Sofia Baghramyan captured the silver medal in the girls under-10 rapid competition at the European Youth Rapid and Blitz Chess Championship.
